Tour Details

Day 1: Ouarzazate – Aït Ben Haddou – Dades Valley

Your adventure begins with a pickup from your hotel or riad in Ouarzazate. Drive first to the legendary Aït Ben Haddou, a UNESCO-listed ksar renowned for its striking earthen architecture and cinematic fame in films like Gladiator and Game of Thrones. Wander through the labyrinth of narrow streets and ancient kasbahs, and take in panoramic views of the surrounding valley. After a traditional lunch in the area, continue your journey along the “Route of the Thousand Kasbahs,” passing charming Berber villages and lush palm groves. Arrive at the Dades Valley, where dramatic rock formations rise from the landscape like natural sculptures. Enjoy dinner in a local guesthouse and overnight stay amid the beauty of the Dades Gorges, listening to the whisper of the valley winds.

Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Merzouga Desert (Camel Trek & Desert Camp)

After breakfast, depart the valley and head toward the Todra Gorges, one of Morocco’s most spectacular natural wonders. Towering cliffs over 300 meters high line a narrow canyon with a gentle river running through it, creating a surreal and picturesque environment. Take a leisurely walk along the gorge and explore the nearby palm oases and small Berber villages. Continue your drive toward the edge of the Sahara, passing through fertile oases and desert towns along the way.

Upon reaching Merzouga, meet your camel caravan and begin a trek into the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi, as the sun paints the sky in vivid hues of orange, pink, and gold. Arrive at your desert camp just in time to relax, enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner, and listen to the hypnotic rhythms of Berber drums around a warm campfire. Spend the night under the vast desert sky, where the stars shine brighter than anywhere else, and the silence of the Sahara envelops you in tranquility.

Day 3: Merzouga – Ouarzazate – Marrakech

Wake early to experience a breathtaking sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes, a moment that captures the magic and serenity of the desert. After breakfast at the camp, ride camels back to the edge of the dunes and meet your driver for the journey toward Marrakech.

The route takes you through the scenic Anti-Atlas and High Atlas Mountains, with multiple photo stops to admire the rugged landscapes, panoramic valleys, and Berber villages perched on the hillsides. Pass by Aït Ben Haddou once more if time permits, and enjoy the ever-changing views as the Atlas Mountains give way to Marrakech’s vibrant plains. Arrive in Marrakech by the evening, marking the conclusion of your Sahara desert adventure, carrying memories of golden dunes, majestic gorges, and authentic Berber hospitality.
